Jacqueline Fernandez, a Sri Lankan actor who hails from Bahrain's Manama was raised in an ethnically diverse family. Jacqueline's parents are Malaysian and Sri Lankan. Her father Elroy Fernandez comes from Sri Lanka. Jacqueline has two older brothers and a younger sister. In the wake of turmoil in the country, her parents relocated to Bahrain in the late 1980s. Schooling was finished at Bahrain and she was awarded an Scholarship for an education at University of Sydney. There she was awarded a Media and Communications degree. In order to further her interest in the world of languages, cultures and languages, she joined the Berlitz language schools in order to study Spanish and also improve her French as well as Arabic. She was also crowned Miss Sri Lanka 2006 for Miss Universe 2006 on March 6, 2006 and was a contestant at Miss Universe 2006. After winning Miss Sri Lanka title in 2006, she took on the world of television. She anchored a show on Sri Lanka's business called Lanka Business Report. Padukone had the honor of being a daughter and badminton world champion Prakash Padukone. Padukone grew her life in Bangalore however, she is a native of Copenhagen. In her teens, she competed at national-level badminton events, but she backed off playing and went on to become an artist. Padukone is from Mangalore, and her mother tongue is Konkani. Her ancestors come from the town of Padukone within the Kundapura Taluk, in the Udupi district in Karnataka state in India. Her father, Prakash Padukone, is an international badminton player who has retired. The mother of the child is a traveling agent.
